Jill Whitelaw

Jill’s career has been steered by a life-long passion for understanding people through observing, measuring and predicting human attitudes and behaviour.

 

Jill has spent 15 years in consumer and employee research practice. She has considerable hands on experience in team leadership and motivation, client handling, project management and strategy development. She was one of the pioneers of mystery shopping in the late 1980s, and went on to establish a mystery shopping division for the world’s largest research agency. She subsequently developed an independent research practice, integrating strategy, consumer research, staff training and business impact analysis.

Jill has a wealth of experience in employee research and is a highly capable group facilitator. She is a fully qualified coach, holding the Advanced Diploma in Coaching & Mentoring from the Oxford School of Coaching and Mentoring, as well as a Masters degree in project management.

Her industry experience spans retail, IT & telecoms, food & drink, automotive, health & beauty, manufacturing, leisure, financial services and the public sector.

For the future, Jill is keen to maximise on the breadth of academic research in positive psychology and blend it with her knowledge and understanding of human attitudes and behaviour, through working with CAPP to promote the application of positive psychology in the work place and beyond.
