What We Do
In our mission to disseminate the science and practice of positive psychology, we are active across a range of areas.

These include our consulting work with organisations, our membership activities as a membership organisation, our education and training programs, our research, our thought leadership events, and our publishing activities.

For Organisations:

As a consulting organisation CAPP was established to provide business benefit solutions that enhance people’s contributions and fulfilment. We are proud to work across a range or organisations, established bodies, and charities to deliver our work.

CAPP provides consultancy, advice, and support to organisations, drawing from our expertise and experience in positive psychology applications. This includes the design, delivery, and evaluation of strengths-based approaches to organisation, employee engagement audits and interventions, and programmes to assess and increase individual and organisational well-being.

We recognise the unique character of each organisation we work with, and tailor the way we work with you through bespoke, individualised approaches that draw from the benefit of our experience and expertise in both research and practice.

We like to work in strategic partnership with our clients in order to deliver ongoing added value, and we are also pleased to take on specific project-based assignments as appropriate. Our consultants offer a wealth of experience and expertise in applying positive psychological approaches in the following domains:
  • Coaching
  • Communications
  • Culture change
  • Employee engagement
  • High potentials
  • Leadership development
  • Strengths-based organisation
  • Strengths-based interviewing and recruitment
  • Talent management

We also run Thought Leadership Forums on these topics, the first of which is our Employee Engagement Forum: Building engagement to maximise performance.

Thought and Application Leadership

Our work is research-led. Our empirical research and theory development is published in internationally recognised journals and other media. This informs, and is informed by, our practical experience of delivering consulting solutions in organisations.

We are supported in our endeavours by a 40-member International Advisory Board, including leading academics and practitioners in positive psychology and its applications from around the world.

Members of the CAPP team consistently promote and disseminate the applications of positive psychology through publishing and speaking throughout the UK, Europe, India, and the United States.

Our flagship event is the annual Applied Positive Psychology Conference. The 1st Applied Positive Psychology Conference was held at the University of Warwick in April 2007.

We regularly run our 10 week teleclass Positive Psychology for the Professional. This highly praised teleclass run by Robert Biswas-Diener, provides delegates with a clear understanding of how they can apply positive psychology in their lives and work.

In September 2007 we will be launching a series of bitesize positive psychology application courses. If you would like more information relating to these courses, please contact us capp@cappeu.org
